Advanced Cataract Surgery and Vision Correction

Cataract surgery is a primary focus of Dr. Kruger’s practice. Having performed more than 10,000 cataract procedures, he has extensive experience with both routine and complex cases, including patients with challenging anatomy, previous eye surgery, and advanced cataracts.

Dr. Kruger believes that excellent cataract surgery involves more than simply removing a cloudy lens. His goal is to help each patient achieve the best possible quality of vision while minimizing dependence on glasses whenever appropriate.

He uses advanced diagnostic technology and modern surgical planning systems to individualize treatment. This includes sophisticated corneal measurements, optical biometry, and advanced intraocular lens calculation software to help select the most appropriate lens for each patient’s eyes and visual goals.

He offers a range of intraocular lens options, including advanced technology lenses designed to correct astigmatism and reduce dependence on glasses for distance, intermediate, and near vision.

Surgical Expertise and Corneal Transplantation

In addition to cataract surgery, Dr. Kruger specializes in LASIK, PRK, and advanced corneal transplantation procedures, including DMEK, DSAEK, and DALK.

His fellowship training in cornea and refractive surgery provides additional expertise in managing complex cataract cases, irregular corneas, and patients who have undergone previous refractive or corneal surgery.

He also provides comprehensive ophthalmic care for patients with glaucoma, dry eye disease, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease.

Advancing Cataract Surgery Through Physician Education

Dr. Kruger’s commitment to advancing cataract surgery extends beyond his own operating room. He maintains an educational YouTube channel dedicated to advanced cataract surgical techniques, sharing surgical knowledge, clinical insights, and approaches to challenging procedures with fellow ophthalmologists.

With more than 1,000 subscribers to his physician-focused educational channel, Dr. Kruger shares his experience with an audience interested in learning advanced cataract surgery techniques.

Through his surgical education videos, Dr. Kruger demonstrates his dedication to technical precision, surgical innovation, and the continued advancement of ophthalmic surgery.

His commitment to educating other surgeons reflects the same meticulous approach and attention to detail that he brings to caring for his own patients.
