Cornea

The cornea is the window of the eye. All light entering the eye passes through the cornea and is focused at the same time. Any change in the shape or clarity of the cornea can cause blurred vision. Fortunately, most cornea problems can be addressed.

Matthew Kruger, MD is a fellowship trained corneal surgeon specializing in partial and full thickness corneal transplantation, Intacs, cross-linking and laser vision correction. He specializes in the treatment of dry eyes, keratoconus, Fuch's dystrophy and corneal scar management. He has published new and innovative corneal transplantation techniques to help ensure excellent results.

Dr. Kruger is excited to be one of the first surgeons in Denver the offer DMEK, the most advanced corneal surgery for Fuch’s Dystrophy and other causes of corneal endothelial dysfunction. Dr. Kruger traveled to Portland, OR in 2014 where he spent a week learning first hand from Mark Terry, MD, the most experienced DMEK surgeon in North America.
